COMMON QUESTIONS

Clear answers before
the first conversation.

Can you coordinate my return with my business return?

Yes. When we are engaged for both, we coordinate the information and questions connecting the business with the owner’s individual return. Separate entities and individuals may require separate engagements.

Do you prepare returns for rental property owners?

Yes. We work with rental property owners and real estate investors. We review your property records and circumstances to define the individual return work and identify any related business or international tax services that may be needed.

Do you coordinate with family attorneys or family offices?

Yes. With your authorization, we coordinate with your family’s attorneys, family office, and other professional advisors to help keep tax information and planning discussions aligned. This can include sharing relevant records, clarifying reporting responsibilities, and discussing tax considerations connected with business ownership, investments, and family financial decisions. We agree on each advisor’s role and the scope of our work in advance, while respecting client confidentiality and appropriate information-sharing permissions.

Can you work with more than one generation of a family?

Yes. We work with individuals and families across generations. Each client’s authorization, confidentiality, and engagement scope remain important, even when relatives’ financial matters are connected.

What happens if I do not have all my documents?

Tell us what is missing and any deadlines you know about. We identify outstanding information and discuss the appropriate next steps. We do not treat incomplete records as complete or promise a filing date before the required information is available.

Is year-round tax planning included?

Individual return preparation primarily addresses filing for a tax year. Detailed projections, analysis of a future transaction, and ongoing planning or advisory support are separately agreed unless expressly included.

How do I share sensitive tax documents?

Contact the firm to arrange an appropriate document-transfer method. Do not place Social Security numbers, account details, or tax documents in the website’s introductory contact form. That form remains a demonstration while the website is being finalized.
